HOW TO IMPORT
Get a Cue Club set into Rekordbox with the hot cues and order intact. Takes about two minutes.
- 1Download your set. Go to your purchases and click DOWNLOAD. When asked, type your computer username exactly (the name of your user folder on your Mac), then click SAVE & DOWNLOAD. This matters, because it's how the set knows where your music lives.
- 2Make a
CueClubfolder. Open Finder, go to your user folder, then openMusic. Make a new folder and name itCueClub, exactly like that, with the same capitals and no space. - 3Move the download in. Drag the
.zipfile fromDownloadsinto yourCueClubfolder. - 4Unzip it. Double-click the
.zip. You'll get a folder with an audio folder, aREADME.txtand arekordbox.xmlfile. The README has these steps too. - 5Turn on the XML view in Rekordbox. Open Rekordbox, go to Preferences > View, and under Layout > Browser panel tick "rekordbox xml".
- 6Point Rekordbox at the set. In Preferences go to Advanced > Database. Under rekordbox xml > Imported Library, click Browse, open
Music>CueClub> your set's folder, select therekordbox.xmlfile and click Open. Close Preferences. - 7Import the playlist. In the tree on the left, expand rekordbox xml, then Playlists. Right-click your set and choose Import Playlist.
- 8Play. Open Playlists in your normal library and click the new playlist. Every track is in order, gridded and hot-cued, ready to play.
